Here’s a recipe for easy and delicious lamb burgers:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil (for cooking)
- Hamburger buns ( or lettuce wrap )
- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, etc.)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty, making sure they are compacted but not too tightly packed. Use your thumb to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
- Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grill or pan with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the lamb patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Lamb is typically cooked to medium-rare or medium, but adjust the cooking time according to your preference.
- While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster if desired.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Assemble the lamb burgers on the toasted buns, adding your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese.
- Serve the lamb burgers hot and enjoy!
Feel free to customize the toppings and condiments according to your taste. You can also serve the lamb burgers with a side of fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
