Elegant, no-cook, and full of seasonal comfort.
Ingredients (organic when possible):
- 2–3 ripe pears (Bosc or Anjou are great)
- ½ cup crumbled blue cheese or thin slices of brie
- ¼–⅓ cup lightly toasted walnuts
- 1–2 tsp honey or balsamic glaze
- Optional: thyme leaves or cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Core pears and slice vertically into thin ¼” wedges.
- Lay slices on a platter.
- Add a bit of cheese to each slice (blue crumbles or brie slivers).
- Sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
- Drizzle with honey or balsamic.
- Finish with thyme or black pepper.
Variations:
- More savoury: Skip the honey; add olive oil + flaky salt.
- More festive: Add pomegranate seeds or candied pecans.
- Dairy-free: Use a cashew cheese or hummus.
